Privacy Policy
Effective 16 August 2026
The short version: MoJUKo's Tower Defence works fully offline with no account and no sign-up. If you choose to sign in, we store your account details, your game results, and a leaderboard entry so your scores sync across devices. If you play online 1v1 Versus, your display name and live match status are shared with the one opponent you're playing. The app shows no ads, contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
1. Who we are
MoJUKo's Tower Defence ("the app") is developed and published by MoJuKo ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. For anything privacy-related, contact us at info@mojuko.com.
2. Information we collect
If you play without signing in (the default)
Nothing personal is collected. Your level progress, scores, and settings are stored only on your device and never leave it. The game is fully playable this way, including offline.
If you choose to create an account
Sign-in is optional and powered by Firebase Authentication. Depending on the method you pick — Google, or an email address and password — we receive your email address, a display name, and an internal account identifier. We never receive your Google password, and we don't ask for anything beyond this.
Gameplay data (signed-in players only)
When you finish a level while signed in, we store the result against your account: level played, score, lives remaining, wave reached, whether you won, and when the game ended. This powers your personal game history and best-score list.
Leaderboard (signed-in players only)
Your display name and best score are stored on a public leaderboard that other signed-in players can see. Don't use a display name you wouldn't want other players to know.
Online 1v1 Versus (signed-in players only)
Versus is optional and only runs while you're in a match. When you host or join one, we store a match record containing both players' account identifiers and display names, the level being played, and — roughly once a second while the match runs — each player's lives, wave, credits, kills and status, plus any attack squads sent and the final result. Your opponent sees your display name and that live status; that's the point of the mode. Nothing else about your account is shared with them, and there is no chat, no voice, and no way for another player to contact you through the game.
Match records are kept only so the match can run and be scored. Quick Match pairs you with whoever else is searching at that moment — you can avoid being matched with strangers by using a private room code instead.
3. What we don't do
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no in-app purchases requiring payment details from us. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not collect your location, contacts, or photos, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
4. How we use information
We use the information above solely to run the game's features: signing you in, syncing your game history and best scores across your devices, showing the leaderboard, running online Versus matches between two players, and responding when you contact support. That's it.
5. Where your data lives
Account and gameplay data are stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), operated by Google LLC, which processes this data on our behalf on Google's infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted by security rules so each player can only read and write their own data (plus read the shared leaderboard, and read and write the record of a Versus match they are actually playing in). You can read more in Firebase's privacy documentation and Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Sharing
We share personal information only with Google Firebase as our storage/authentication provider (described above), and if the law genuinely requires it. The only information ever visible to other players is your leaderboard entry (display name and best score) and, if you play a Versus match, your display name and live match status shown to that one opponent for the length of the match.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time — tap your name in the top-right of the main menu, then Delete account. You can also email info@mojuko.com from the address linked to your account and we'll remove your sign-in record, game history, and leaderboard entry, and confirm once it's done. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, POPIA, the Australian Privacy Act, and the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email us and we'll honour these requests. If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The game is suitable for a general audience and is fully playable without an account, so children can play without providing any personal information. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and database security rules ensure players can only access their own data. No system is 100% secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small — the less we collect, the less there is to protect.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes (like collecting a new category of data) will be highlighted in the app or on this page before they take effect.
